It's no suprise that one part of Mandy Coon's first collection conjures up images of warehouse raves in the mid 90s. At night, the New York designer (wo)mans the turntables as one part of DJ duo Two Mandy DJs.
Clear lines and shiny materials as well as voluminous ruches and transparency define her collection. The color palette is minimalist: black, royal blue, creamy white and "tiger" -- that's it. Exposed zippers as far as the eye can see. Sometimes on trouser legs where they make for a more versatile look: closed for a more streamlines look, open for a punky peekaboo effect.
The aren't tight but flow around the body and allow the body to move with ease and grace.
The whole collection -- from the rave outfits, to the tiger dresses, and the ruches -- ranges between androgynous and girl-like. And each and every one will make you look good on the dancefloor.
